Volunteer Opportunities
Give the gift of your time and talent as a Broomfield FISH volunteer and make a direct impact. Our volunteers are vital to the work we do! They sort and track food donations, meet with clients, assist at fundraising events and much more.
Adult/Group Volunteer Opportunities
Fill out our Adult Volunteer Interest form if you are 18 years old or older and would like to come in and help at FISH! This could be:
- if your company or organization wants to bring a group to FISH
if you want to individually volunteer on a regular basis - After filling out the form, our Volunteer Coordinator, Sharin Oliver, will contact you within 2 weeks.
Note: We do a background check on all of our volunteers 18+ which requires a social security number.
Due to COVID, FISH is NOT accepting court-ordered community service volunteers at this time.
Youth Volunteer Opportunities
There are several ways for the youth in our community to become involved with FISH based on age and time commitment ability.
At this time none of our youth boards will be meeting in person. Any volunteer activities will be for those 16 years and older or work at home projects for all ages.
Middle School Volunteer Pack (MVP)
If you are a middle school student that lives or go to school in Broomfield and are interested in volunteering with Broomfield FISH then we would like to invite you to fill out our MVP interest form. Please fill out the interest form and you will be contacted by one of the MVP leaders.
High School JV Club
All high school students that live or go to school in Broomfield and are interested in volunteering with Broomfield FISH then we would like to invite you to fill out our Junior Volunteer (JV) Club interest form. Once a student fills out the JV Club application they are added to our closed google group where they receive emails about volunteer opportunities. There are no meetings – just emails and opportunities.
High School Youth Advisory Board (YAB)
Our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is open to all high school students (9th-12th grades) in Broomfield. It is a working board that focuses on raising awareness, volunteering, and fundraising for FISH. Students have a monthly 90 minute meeting that involves planning for events that they participate in such as food drives, work sessions in the food room, and various community functions. Current 8th graders CAN apply.
The YAB board term is April to February and is currently closed. We will NOT be accepting applications during the pandemic.
