January

The Streets Have Names

🗓️ Saturday, January 17th

⏰ 4:00pm – 6:00pm

📍The Refuge: 11600 Quay St #200, Broomfield, CO, 80020

In November, local artist Andrea Gamboa’s photos of Broomfield’s unhoused neighbors were featured in a powerful three-minute video for Hunger and Homelessness Week. The images resonated so deeply in the community that The Refuge is now hosting a celebration of Andrea and the neighbors she featured, with the goal of breaking down stigma and lifting up our shared humanity. Appetizers will be provided.

🎟️ Free to attend, RSVP requested.

Wills & Advanced Medical Directive Clinic

🗓️Tuesday, January 20th, 2026

⏰2:00pm – 4:00pm

📍The Refuge: 11600 Quay St. #200, Broomfield, CO 80020

This is an amazing opportunity for any individuals over 50 to get a free will and advanced medical directive done for 2026! Two pro-bono lawyers from the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center will facilitate this workshop and provide us with all of the information needed to finish the will and/or advanced medical directive. Then, taking the information we provide, they’ll be back with final documents to be notarized on Tuesday, February 17th.

🎟️ This workshop is free and available to anyone over 50 regardless of income. Registrations are important for materials and set up.

February

“Love Your Neighbor” Virtual FRESH FOOD Food Drive

🗓️February 1st – February 28th, 2026

February is almost here, which means it’s almost time for our annual Love Your Neighbor Food Drive

This year, instead of collecting canned goods, we’re inviting you to help us purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and other high‑need items for our food pantry by donating to our virtual FRESH FOOD food drive. Monetary gifts let us buy exactly what families need, when they need it—especially the perishable items we can’t usually accept as donations.

Just like any other food drive, your organization is invited to help by posting flyers, sharing in your newsletter, and sharing on social media. Check out our Community Resource Kit for everything you need!

Please download, print, and post this flyer where you can!

May

Stamp Out Hunger

🗓️Saturday, May 9th, 2026

⏰Morning

📍Your Home Mailbox!

Help FISH “STAMP OUT HUNGER” during the National Association of Letter Carriers’ food drive on Saturday, May 10th! Look for the Stamp Out Hunger bags in the mail, fill them with non-perishable food donations, and leave them by your mailbox on Saturday, May 9th for your postal carrier to collect.

Want to participate from the comfort of your own home? Here’s how:

1️⃣ Check your mailbox for the yellow Stamp Out Hunger bag (or use your own).

2️⃣ Fill it with non-perishable food items.

3️⃣ Leave it by your mailbox for your mail carrier to collect.

Your letter carrier will collect the donations as part of their regular route, and all collected food will be delivered to Broomfield FISH to help feed our neighbors in need.

The following items are most needed: crackers, condiments, dry pasta cereal, cooking oil, baking mixes, broth, soup, juice, and canned corn, but we’ll take whatever you have to give!

Check out our newsletter to see what’s new at FISH!
