Emergency Rent or Mortgage Assistance DUE to COVID-19 

The City and County of Broomfield has created the "Bridge The Gap" Program 

 

To qualify for the "Bridge the Gap" program, applicants must meet all of the requirements below:

  • Be a current Broomfield Resident

  • Have a household income that, as of March 1st, was at or under 80% Broomfield AMI (e.g, family of 1 annual income under $52,000/family of 4 annual income under $74,240)

  • Have filed for unemployment (if eligible) due to a reduction of hours or lay-off related to COVID-19 after March 1.

FISH continues to offer other emergency financial assistance via remote appointments for Broomfield residents.  If you are interested in learning more or want to talk about emergency financial assistance--rent, utilities and small needs--please call 303-465-1600 and speak with a FISH advocate.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

This program offers EXTRA FOOD and has waived many of the normal requirements, so check for eligibility. This might be helpful for folks with dietary restrictions who could use SNAP for special items and still come to FISH for basics.
